Composition, songwriting, Music Theory Lessons or Mentoring for $80
I am a former Oxbridge and conservatoire tutor with three decades' experience in industry and academia, and many wonderful international artists as current and former students and mentees.
I always say I can teach people to write anything! From orchestral compositions, to ambient works, songs, and even string arrangements or backing vocals for those, no style a challenge, and nothing is off limits.
This is essentially your time, so bring along any questions you have about the compositional process, or some pieces or songs you've started but don't quite know how to finish, or even just yourself if you don't know where to start, and we'll take it from there.
Here're just a few things we can work on:
• Orchestration and arrangement
• Jazz harmony/lead sheets
• Pop band notation/communication
• String arranging for songs
• How to get started
• Developing ideas
• Communicating ideas to musicians when you don't read music
• Lyric-writing
• Psychological barriers, e.g. overcoming writers block, anxiety on sharing work
• ... and my personal favourite: developing a distinctive original voice that is uniquely your own
We can even look at some industry and/or business strategies/mentoring.
