I am Spyda. (There's a funny story behind the name, I'll tell you in a minute); but first, my musical history:

I'm a multi-instrumentalist (Keys, Bass, Drums), with over 20 years’ experience as a backing band, touring and studio musician; and producer, who boasts 1 Grammy Award; a separate Grammy Nomination; and 1 Platinum selling record.

Music is music, free from genre, boxes, categories, labels and classifications: so I interweave my native sensibilities in Reggae, DanceHall, Ska, Mento and other indigenous forms with subtlety, to add the magic of exoticism to your R & B, Soul, Hip-Hop and Trap tracks and songs.

Now, about the name:

Late one night, jamming post-rehearsal (there may or may not have been alcohol involved)... I was playing 'Baltimore' (by the Tamlins)--all the parts by myself. Aaaand, in an electric EUREKA moment, fueled by the Spirits! (of course), my friends intuited that I looked like a Spider; and...I have been known as Spyda ever since. :)
