A bit about your new Producer. I'm a Music Producer (Audio Engineering Bachelor Degree), Classically Trained Pianist (29 years exp) & Singer-Songwriter. I also spent 10 years in an original rock band & have played hundreds of gigs in Australia. Currently my main gig is producing up-and-coming artists, taking them from demo to final mastering for release. You can use my musical journey to enhance your own! The above price is for 1 song; I've also got ep deals for 4 or more songs. I have a tried & true process that gets results. My process is broken up into 4 stages:
1. Pre-production
I listen to any songs you have recorded as demos/live recordings & recommend which is best for professional production. I'll ask you about your music influences. Once you've decided which song you want produced we look at arrangement, tempo & other decisions that will shape your song. You'll be able to benefit from my songwriting roots to fill any gaps in your song & enhance your vision! We'll need to agree on tempo, structure & arrangement; then we'll record a guide track as a reference for the project. If you're not in Sydney, logistics are a consideration; there's ways of getting it done regardless of where you are!
2. Recording
We'll record the most consistent element 1st (to a click track) eg. acoustic guitar, keys, whichever holds the groove. Each element gets recorded, 1 at a time, or programmed in & we built the song in layers. Extra keys, synth, strings, acoustic guitar, bass all included! Final vocals get recorded last
3. Mixing
Now I'll mix your song; my decisions will be informed by your influences & wishes for the song. Then i deliver your finished mix for you to listen to & approve. I provide 3 mix revisions (but usually only need 1); it's best to listen to your finished mix on every device you listen to most of your music on (earbuds, car etc.), write down & send all your changes in the 1 email (counts as 1 revision). Changes at this point are usually turning up or down certain instruments or vocals. I'll make all the changes & send it back for approval. Once you approve the mix, it's time for mastering
4. Mastering
This brings the overall level up to commercial standards, & balances the song to sound great on all devices. I provide 3 revisions (same as for mixing).
Although I produce artists, the audio examples provided show my entire skill set & are from my solo ep which I wrote, performed & and produced.
I look forward to helping you on your journey!
