A note on my ears and "The Bar": After being in this line of work for as long as I have I can both gratefully and frustratingly tell you that my ears do not leave any stone left unturned. There is a bar that has been set for any project I am involved with and I will not call something finished until my instincts tell me it has been reached. Part of reaching that bar includes making sure that every emotional quality you want your song to convey is being achieved with undeniable accuracy. Whomever you choose to work with in this field, ensure they have this quality/curse.

Hello, my name is Jake Allen and I am the founder of Infinite Balance Productions, a boutique one stop shop for professional music production services from pre-production to the final mix. With 20 years of experience as a producer, multi-instrumentalist and mix engineer, I have worked in a wide area of both studio and live performance capacities alongside artists like Steve Miller, Keith Emerson (Emerson, Lake and Palmer), Jerome Dillon (Nine Inch Nails), The Accidentals, Michael Manring (Michael Hedges), Andy McKee and many more.

During the pandemic, I began offering "Song Fulfillment" services to songwriters of all levels from hobbyists to professionals. This process included everything from song arrangement repair, to the tracking of all instruments and vocals (either by me or carefully chosen session musicians), to mixing a polished finished product. This process, or any of its single parts, it what I am offering to you.

Services offered -RATES VARY:

-PRE PRODUCTION & SONG REPAIR: consulting sessions to optimize all areas of your song before recording beings

-INSTRUMENT RECORDING: Instruments I offer include acoustic and electric guitars, bass guitar, drums, pianos/keyboards/synths, percussion, harp, hammer dulcimer, strings by world class violinist Basil Alter

-MIXING: Giving your song it's optimal sonic identity. For the gear-heads out there, I use Pro Tools and a wide array of plugins from UAD, Waves, Kush Audio, SSL and more. These tools matter, but engineers knowing how to use their tools to squeeze emotion from a song is the most important thing.

-PRODUCTION & MIX CRITIQUE: If you are already finished with or nearing the completion of a project, I offer my ears as a sounding board to detect any areas of weakness in your production from mixing choices to moments of potential audience disconnect.
