Hammered Dulcimer for $500
My name is Max ZT, and I am a national hammered dulcimer champion. I've been referred to as "The Jimi Hendrix of the Hammered Dulcimer" by NPR, and "A sight to behold" by Time Out NY. I have lived and studied in Senegal and India, and draw a ton of influence from both of these rich cultures.
I have recorded on hundreds of records by a variety of artists including: Victor Wooten, Of Montreal, American Idol Winner - Phil Phillips, Karsh Kale, Alex Skolnick, Lorenzo Jova, Elizabeth and the Catapult, Banda Magda, and many many more. I also have an extensive film score resume.
I record out of my home studio in Brooklyn using a MOTU audio interface or sometimes my Focusrite Clarett, and Logic. I generally use a Rode NT4 mic to mic the instrument, but I have also found success with the AKG 214 mic and several Earthworks microphones.
I normally charge $400 a track, but can be flexible if there are multiple pieces. Additionally, I can be flexible if the piece only requires a simple line/overdub/etc...
This price includes two revisions (if needed). Generally though, I will be sending several options for you to choose from.
In terms of tonality, I can offer a variety of options from soft/felt sound, to finger plucking, to a hand-mute, to a more percussive wooden attack.
