I currently play a Mullen steelguitar and have a various mikes including shure57,shure81,audiotechnica 4050,4033. I also use presonus preamps, Apollo 16 by UAD,cubase 7.5. I tend to lean more toward using an amp for recording the steelguitar with a shure 57 on one side & shure 81 on the other and a room mike that is a condenser as well. I am versatile at playing various styles.I have traveled with a few gospel groups including the "Lamar Sego Family" and the "Easter Brothers" but mostly have been doing session work in my studio for the last 20 years. My favorite steelguitar player is Paul Franklin, I love his playing as it is not predictable all the time and is something fresh. I like to do this as well to bring something that is unique to your song and that makes it yours. I also listen and try to put the style of steel that is needed for the song you are submitting. I guarantee that you will be happy with the tracks or I will gladly recut to your taste or punch-in any necessary parts.
