Mallet & Keyboard Percussion - Vibraphone, Marimba, Xylophone, Glockenspiel, Kalimba in Jazz, Classical, World, Pop & More for $120

Dave has decades of experience as a Mallet Percussionist as a member of The Queensland Symphony Orchestra, The Camerata and the Australian Festival Orchestra among many others which has seen him perform the virtuosic mallets parts of Stravinsky's Les Noces and Bernstein's Vibraphone part for West Side Story. He studied Jazz Vibraphone with Dave Samuels and Ed Saindon at Berklee College in Boston leading to becoming lecturer in Jazz VIbraphone at the Qld COnservatorium of Music. Performances include Diana Krall, Neil Finn, Jerry Lewis, The Whitlams, David Campbell and Katie Noonan along with extensive musical theatre production seasons including The Lion King and Les Miserables.
Dave has a large studio tracking space (4 metre ceilings) with all instruments setup with dedicated mics ready to record at a moment's notice. All instruments can be either close miked for an intimate feature solo sound or distant miked for a concert hall sound; or a combination of both. He also has a dedicated mixing control room with full acoustic treatment.

How Many Instruments?
Generally $120 is per larger orchestral instrument (eg Vibraphone, Marimba, Glockenspiel) each playing for up to 5 minutes. If your project is more a jazz or commercial oriented and requires a stylised improvisation then it’s $150 per featured instrument. These are general guidelines and once your requirements are known a custom quote can easily provided.

How Many Tracks ?
All stems of close and distant/room microphones of each instrument are provided or a fully mixed stereo bounce down can be supplied.

How Many Revisions ?
Usually up to 3 revisions for whole takes. Retakes and edits of smaller sections are easily accommodated.
