BIO:
Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, Patrick Graney is a multi instrumentalist, percussionist and drum-set player. He feels at home playing a diverse range of music including Jazz, Brazilian, Funk and other folk and contemporary styles from around the globe. But Patrick aims to transcend a stylistic approach using traditional and non-traditional instruments to create a panoramic sonic pallet. Patrick’s musical career began at the age of ten as a dancer, which later evolved into a love for playing the drums.
Texture, rhythmic cadence, and groove are all integral elements to his approach.
In 2017 he graduated from the Oberlin Conservatory with a Bachelors in Jazz Performance and in 2019 received his Masters degree as well as the “Outstanding Scholar” award at The Berklee College of Music in Valencia Spain. Upon Graduation Patrick relocated to Dubai, to teach music and be the head of the drums and percussion department at Studio Republik.
Patrick has performed internationally in India, Brazil, Europe and all around the United States at places such as The Kennedy Center, Severance Hall, Pageant of the Masters as well as numerous festivals and Jazz clubs. He has shared the stage with notable artists such as Snarky Puppy, Jamey Haddad, Daniele Camarda, Flor De Canela, The Oblivion Project, The Dazz Band, Alon Yavnai, Dan Wilson and Banda Magda.
