Ableton Operator Transcription Specialist

Job Description:
We’re seeking a skilled transcriber experienced with Ableton Live and its Operator instrument to recreate short chord progressions or musical phrases as MIDI clips. While you may use Ableton’s "Convert to MIDI" feature, the role requires strong music theory knowledge and keyboard skills to accurately refine these conversions. Ableton’s automatic conversions aren’t always precise, so you’ll need the expertise to adjust and play these part ... s by ear as needed. For each clip, create a similar sound in Operator, matching the original as closely as possible, including simulating instrument sounds (e.g., nylon guitar) with suitable effects.

Responsibilities:

Listen to each sample and transcribe it into MIDI using Ableton Live’s Operator.

Adjust conversions manually to accurately reflect the original progression.

Create a sound in Operator that resembles the original, as close as possible but without being overly concerned about protection at this stage.

Organize each transcription in a separate Ableton session or as individual MIDI clips, with clear labeling.

Requirements:

Proficiency in Ableton Live and Operator (other software users are not eligible).
Strong knowledge of music theory and keyboard skills to refine MIDI conversions.
Ability to match chord progressions, tonal qualities, and similar sounds in Operator.
Experience with unique modes and scales is a plus.

Payment:
