Mashal Studios for $75

I'm the owner of Mashal Studios based in Australia with 3 years of mixing experience. Some clients I've worked with are Robin Martyr, La’Kesia Rambo-Barrett, Lenny King and more.

I use Studio One almost exclusively, but I also use Protools if I’m working with a client that has a session they'd want to send. From there I’d have the session prepped for mixing, ie instrument positioning in the mix window, comping, bus routing etc. From there I can get the gain staging set up easily and then start the mix. I do a static mix first, just faders and panning with my mix bus compressor moving, depending on each mix I use the Slate Digital Red 3 or SSL Bus comp. Then I go into each instrument and do what’s needed eq, compression, saturation etc. Once I’ve got the mix jamming good that’s when I add all the effects, reverbs, delays and other cool different ear candy that the mix needs. I do all the automation after everything to then tailor the different parts of the instruments to fit into place and to keep the mix more exciting in the ways I can, and then I do the revisions.

Mashal Studios uses speakers that are custom calibrated to the acoustics of the mix room to create and achieve the flattest and truest possible referencing when mixing any type of music. I have created my sound through certain types of plugins from companies such as:

With the use of industry standard tuning and editing software such as Melodyne Studio and Antares Autotune, editing and tuning all types of vocals, melodic, polyphonic and percussive instruments is seamless.

Any drums samples that need to be added in to enhance the pre recorded sound or to replace certain parts of the kit can be done easily through Steven Slate Trigger 2 or Toontrack’s Superior Drummer 11.1 high end studio recorded samples.

Any re-tracking or re-amping for guitars or bass that is done goes through the Line6 Helix.
