Intermediate level mixer building a portfolio for $10

Pretty much giving it away to build an online presence. I started off mixing my band as a gigging rock musician, and around 11 years ago started moving into the digital world, and have been mixing and producing for others for a couple years now on a pro-bono basis. Now I’m here trying to build an online presence while still offering high quality work at an extremely affordable rate as a way of giving back to the community; I’ve done over 20 mixes for the price of a Happy Meal, and I love working with burgeoning artists and helping them realize their goals. I’ve mixed and produced Metal, Rock, Hip Hop, EDM, Folk and more, including projects as large as over 60 tracks with over 20 tracks of vocals. I am extremely adept with my tools, having started with some of these DAWs over a decade ago, even customizing my environment to expedite my workflow. Although the equipment used shouldn’t really matter, I know that people are going to judge by it; I have spent several thousand dollars on gear from Yamaha, Sennheiser, Universal Audio, Apogee, Izotope, Melodyne and more. I have plenty of before and after samples I can share before you engage me, and can even provide a very rough sample mix before you hire me to get started.

I take mixing seriously and professionally and will want to chat with you about your song and where you want to take it, and will provide check-in mixes along the way.I have very strong *editing* skills and now I relish manual editing and have even made DAW customizations to speed my flow up. I can fixing timing, pitch and breath issues manually – not just slapping a pitch corrector or de-esser on it, with hand craftsmanship for great vocals. I’ll throw in minor correction work, but for particularly rough tracks I’ll have to negotiate a rate with you to fix them, or may just give you advice on getting better performances or recordings.

I mix for multiple listening environments and will employ subtle tricks to make sure your song sounds it’s best not just on my multiple sets of reference monitors or my reference headsets, but also on bluetooth speakers, tiny laptop speakers, phones, and more. I can master to any specs you provide, otherwise will default to Spotify’s loudness specs.

Please, I'm obviously not doing 20+ hrs of work on thousands of dollars of gear for a few bucks; it's the reviews, portfolio material and credit that is important to me; if you aren't willing to help out with those then let's just part friends.
