Hello! Thanks for considering me for your project. My name is Kyler Mello and I run Shining Void Studio, a mixing and small-scale recording studio in Oregon. One of my favorite things to do is help people bring their songs and ideas to fruition with a great mix. I love bringing good sounds to life, crafting new ones, and helping them find their place in great songs. Great mixes tend to come out of well-tuned and reliable spaces, and I've spent a great deal of time treating my mixing space to ensure that sounds can flourish and be heard as they were meant to be. I mix primarily on a pair of Kali LP8s, which I love for their remarkable transparency and their ability to reliably reproduce well-defined low end at moderate to low monitoring levels. I also mix on a variety of professional and consumer-grade headphones and speaker systems to ensure that my work always translates. I work about ninety-percent in-the-box, and my DAW of choice is Reaper for its incredibly flexible routing and exceptional reliability when it comes to rendering, audio fidelity, and performance. With a processor collection that includes industry standards as well as little-known boutique rarities, I have all of the tools to give your music a pristine, modern sound, a crunchy, old-school feel, or anything an between.
