Mixing & Mastering services for Rock, Punk, Metal, etc. for $150

I want to mix and/or master your music! I love heavy music, punk rock, alternative, and really anything that is awesome.

I'm happy to work on any type of production, from something you recorded at a studio/practice space, at home, real instruments or midi/loops, whatever you got!

I’d describe my mix style as inspired by 80s, 90s and 00s underground. I aim mixes to sound like real bands playing music. Yes, it’s gotta be tight and clear, but I think some modern music sounds too clean, too perfect.

I do a lot of the work in Protools and then use high end DA converters into a Neve analog summing mixer. I also have some very nice analog rack equipment that I use as needed.

I don’t mind doing a reasonable amount of revisions.

In addition to mixing, I can do editing, tuning and other production work. If you need additional production work we can discuss rate etc.

-Basic spot edits - quick pass editing if anything sticks out. Generally I would include basic spot edits in the mix.
-Advanced editing - heavy editing to lock instruments to each other or to a grid
-Kick/snare triggers/samples - if you have real drums I usually combine that with a kick & snare sample trigger
-Midi drum humanizing - adjusting quantization & velocity to sound less robotic
-Guitars/bass - plugin reamping (NeuralDSP & many more) or, for additional cost tube amp reamping mic'd in studio, tons of amps/cabs.
-Vocal tuning - This can go heavy or light. Depends on how in tune the vocal performances are.
-Midi instruments - if you have your own sounds, great! If not I have a good selection of midi instruments
-Midi drum programming - if you have instruments recorded to a click I can create drums for you
-Bass & Guitar tracks - if your song needs a Bass or Guitar I can record them for you, probably!
-Synth pads or lines - I can add synth to your tracks
-Probably other services, just ask!

I work both in my home studio and at Little Red Sounds recording studio in BC, Canada.

Generally I do most of the mix at home and finalize in the studio.
