Rock/ Folk/ Indie Mixing and Mastering for $150

Have an experienced and attentive set of ears bring the most out of your recordings! I have produced, recorded and mixed music for almost 30 years. There were many different phases, clients and experiences that led me to develop my own "music first" approach.

In the beginning of a mix, I focus on the musical part - arrangements and performances. I spend a lot of time just listening and trying to understand what the song is all about. I use the faders to bring that message to the forefront, whatever that means for that particular mix.

Only once that is truly in a good place do I start using EQ's, compressors and all the amazing tools available to enhance things.

I mix using a hybrid analog setup, so I get the sound quality I prefer while having the speed of digital recall - I think for most things digital sounds really good and is super convenient. Still there are a few vibe-y pieces like my buss compressors and tube master EQs that just sound especially good.

I offer 2 revisions per mix, a few edits here and there are okay - however if tracks need major editing we will have to discuss that.

It helps a lot to have reference tracks, so please spend some time picking out one or two songs that have the feeling you are going for. Of course you are a unique human being and sometimes that isn't possible, thats okay too.

For complex arrangements a demo would be ideal, as I can then get an idea of which parts you want featured. It doesn't have to be amazing, but just a sketch is fine.

For example, if there are three or four backing vocal parts going at the same time, it would be good to know which ones you hear as the main.
