I think when I’m hired as a mixer It’s about taste and instinct
knowing when and why to do one mix move or another, and how far to push it
And that develops from experience, not some mix trick that nobody else knows

Depending on your song's needs, I'll check the tracks over and check for editing, and then get to the creative part of the mix!

There’s a lot of that technical expertise and knowhow that goes into the process
And that’s important, But mixing is still an inherently creative thing at its core
and I think that’s what separates a technically balanced mix from a great one.
