With an innate passion for music and sound, Illapa Eraso has built a distinguished career as an audio producer and sound engineer. A graduate with honors from the Fernando Sor School of Music and Audio, his training has been enriched by working alongside industry greats such as Eduardo Bergallo (Soda Estereo, Gustavo Cerati), Adrian Sherwood (Depeche Mode), Bob McCarthy, Richard Blair (Carlos Vives, Totó La Momposina, Vicente Garcia), Daniel Bustos (Diamante Eléctrico, Chocquibtown, Andrés Cepeda, Juan Pablo Vega, Jorge Celedón, Monsieur Periné), Camilo Silva, Andrés Landinez (Bambarabanda, Conector, Cesar Lopez), Felipe López (Aterciopelados), Eduardo García (Alkilados, Superlitio), among others.

He has had the opportunity to collaborate with renowned studios, gaining experience and knowledge in professional settings, serving as a recording assistant to award-winning engineer Daniel Bustos Medina at Estudios Audiovisión. His experience is not limited to the studio, as he has served as a front-of-house engineer at national and international festivals and events, such as the Bahidorá Festival (Morelos, Mexico), Festelar (Bogotá), Patio Sonoro (Medellín), Almax (Bogotá), Jaguar Festival (Palomino), Feria de Manizales, Corona Sunsets (Bogotá, Cali), and the Tercera Llamada Festival (Quito, Ecuador), ensuring optimal sound for artists and audiences.

Since 2009, he has founded and directed Mantra Studios, a creative space where music comes to life through innovation and production excellence. His approach combines a constant commitment to sonic excellence, the pursuit of an authentic identity in each production, and close collaboration with musicians and creators, ensuring innovative, high-quality results in every project.
