Electric/Fretless/Acoustic and Synth Bass for $100
After Graduating from Guildhall School of Music and Drama, I have been a busy bassist working in london, from West End shows, to gigs and sessions working with artists and songwriters.
I run a professional studio in North London "Arnos Groove" which I constantly have Bands/horn sections/ string sections and singers in, where I am always playing and producing.
I am currently playing for American Young, Laura Evans, Grainne Duffy, Tim Rose project and others, where my role as bassist is to serve the music and the song, whilst adding character and a human touch to the finished article.
When I am not playing with bands and singers, I am normally working in the west end, currently depping on Aladdin, The Book of Mormon and Hamilton.
The skills I have gained from the west end really help me to, read well, have great time, play with a click well and produce an even and quality sound from the instruments.
This paired with the skills needed to play for the above artists and singers, makes me a perfect session player- being able to play freely and serve the music, or nail a specific part while committing to the time and overall sound.
I have a wide selection of basses, new and old fenders, fretless and two fantastic uprights, (French 1800 and a modern Thomas Martin) which I record using my selection of Neumann, Sennheiser, Shure and other mics.
When recording electric bass, I always have a variety of sources for the producer to choose from, I have a few great bass amps and a kemper too- so any specific sound can be easily replicated,
I will always print a dry DI signal and a variety of mic placements on a bass cab (close/room etc).
