Upright or electric bass tracking for $150

Bass tracks available from an experienced upright and electric bass player, any style or genre (specializing in jazz, Americana, and soulful/funky music). Send me your song, and I will send you a beautiful bass track: in the pocket, in tune, melodic, soulful, proficient yet restrained, creative but suitable for the brief.

Professional musician since 2003, toured all across the United States and Canada (and a bit in Europe) with a variety of jazz, vintage swing, Americana, singer-songwriter, folk, roots, old-school country, Balkan fusion, rock, and indie bands, and one gig with Michael McDonald. Touring since 2019 with Postmodern Jukebox. Hundreds of recording sessions under my belt, professional audio engineer with recording and broadcast credits including Earth, Wind & Fire, Average White Band, A.C. Newman, the Newport Jazz and Folk Festivals, and more.

Home studio gear includes a fully carved flatback 7/8 willow upright bass, Sire electric jazz bass, Nordstrand Starlifter preamp, Genz-Benz amp, Trickfish cab. Mics include (but are not limited to) custom-modded Rode NT1-A (with K47 capsule), Russian ribbon mics (with optional Fethead), assorted condensers and dynamic mics. Focusrite Clarett 8Pre interface, Logic Pro X, Adam T7V monitors.

One track, two revisions allowed. I'm happy to include multiple takes if you like. Edits are extra- if you want me to comp together several takes, for example, I charge $50/hour for editing. If you are working in ProTools and need me to work in your session file, there is an extra $25 fee.
