Hi! My name is Murphy Smith and I love crafting bass lines that perfectly complement a composition and make the listener feel as good as possible. I have been playing bass professionally since the age of 18, graduated with a BM in Jazz Studies, and have extensive experience as a full time freelance bass player in New Orleans.

I also love the art of recording, whether it's dialing in the perfect tone for a song or placing my feel in the perfect spot to fit in the pocket. If you like, for no additional cost I will include 2 takes-one simpler and one busier, as well as send you both dry and processed signals of the takes. (This is very handy for popping the bass into your track without having to worry about having it sit right in the mix, while still having the dry version to send to a mixing engineer later.)
