Drummer - All Styles. 6 Piece German Sonor Rock Kit & 4 Piece Gretsch 1950s Round Badge Bop Kit. Also various Hand Percussion - Congas, Djembe, Timbales, Shakers for $120

I have decades of experience as a Drummer for musical theatre shows such as Songs for Nobodies, Independent Artists such as Eleanor Angel and Bands like The Lovers of Modern Art. I studied at Berklee College in Boston leading to becoming a lecturer at the Qld Conservatorium of Music from 2008. I have a large studio tracking space (4 metre ceilings) with kits setup with mics ready to record at a moment's notice. All kits can be either close miked for that slick studio sound or distant miked for that big room sound; or a combination of both. I also have a dedicated mixing control room with full acoustic treatment.

What Drums do You Have ?
I have two main kits -
6 Piece Made in Germany Sonor S Class Maple in sizes 8,10,12,14,16 & 22 inch with a double kick and a huge array of cymbals including chinas and multiple hi hat and ride selections from Paiste, Zildjian and Sabian.
The other is a super rare (quite possibly the only one in Australia) genuine 1950's Gretsch Round Badge Bop Kit in sizes 12, 14 and 18 inch. I have vintage jazz cymbals to match this kit such as Zildjian K Dark & Istanbul Turk Series cymbals. Along with these kits are a selection of snares from a 10x8 DW Popcorn style to a 14x16 Marching. Other specialist drums are a set of 5 Rototoms, 3 LP Palladium Congas, Djembe, Bongos, Darabuka, Indian Tabla. I also have a set of 5 Gamelan Tuned Gongs (low F2, F3, B3, Ab4 & A4), Chinese Tam Tam and a Peking Opera Gong (pitch goes up).

What do I get for my Money ?
Generally $120 is for up to a 5 minute track. These are general guidelines and once your requirements are known a custom quote can easily be provided. All stems of close and distant/room microphones are provided or a fully mixed stereo bounce down can be supplied.

How Many Revisions ?
Usually up to 3 revisions for whole takes. Retakes and edits of smaller sections are easily accommodated.

How Do I see What I'll Get ?
The Youtube link provided on this page is from a recording session I did in my studio for the band Karamilk. This is a genuine representation of my service.
