My absolute favorite thing about session work is helping an artist achieve their vision and message through their music. It's extremely important for me to be a part of the collaborative creative process. Understanding intent of the song is vital. Please share lyrics and insight into the song narrative as this helps me make choices about gear selection, drum tuning, part composition, dynamics, mic placement, stereo image, etc.

Outside of acoustic drumming I also use Sensory Percussion to compose electronic music for my solo project and band Goody Bag. It's a great tool for making sample based productions more expressive and "human" sounding. I produce electronic music in Ableton Live and have a lot of experience producing electronic drums.

I can help you achieve a hi-fi acoustic drum recording but also am fond of more experimental approaches to music making. If you're interested in more aggressive drum timbres and aesthetics I can also accomplish that for you with different techniques for prepared acoustic drums or with synthesis and programming methods.
