Drum Tracks by Justin Krol for $85

Hey there! I'd be honored to record some drums for your album, EP, demo or project. In the last 20 years, I've covered a lot of ground and predominantly still work with rock, psych, country and americana bands and artists. I'm very open to feedback and suggestions, but I can take the wheel if you're not quite sure what you're looking for either. I prefer to work in sonic obscurity, but definitely capable of reeling it in.

Justin Krol is an American drummer/musician based out of the upper Midwest. With over 15 years of touring/recording experience, he’s played everywhere from the Bowery Ballroom to the Fillmore with artists such as Mike Krol (Merge Records), Hugh Masterson, Trapper Schoepp (XTRA Mile), Frankie Lee (Loose Music), and Nikki Lane (New West), amongst countless others.

As both a session musician and band member, Justin has recorded records with Bill Skibbe (The Kills/Blonde Redhead/Dead Weather), Alex Newport (Bloc Party/Pissed Jeans/Two Gallants), Beau Sorensen (Death Cab for Cutie/Tegan & Sara/Sparklehorse) amongst others.

Gear-wise, I'm working with a pretty standard modern home studio setup including ProTools 12 and Logic (though I strongly prefer to cut in PT). My mic locker is ever changing and growing, but I tend to use a lot of ribbons and random mics that I've picked up over the years. Drum wise, I have a various array of vintage Ludwig kits and snares and various new and vintage cymbals.
