Hi, I'm Sam

I'm a session drummer and engineer working out of my studio, The Green Room, in Leeds, UK. I have been playing drums for over two decades, and take great pride in my versatility as a player and my knowledge of how to achieve different drum sounds, from aggressive, lively rock sounds to soft, tea-towely intimacy. I have been fortunate enough to record in some of the UK's top studios including Abbey Road Studio 2 and 3, Livingston Studios and more locally The Chairworks and The Nave. Tracks I've played on have been championed by Radio 1, 2 and 6 along with Triple J, and I've worked on projects for companies such as Puremix, Red Bull and Toyota.

I love analog engineering as much as I do drumming, and will use my studio's selection of quality outboard to dial in a killer sound on the way in before the audio hits the conversion. Along with our large selection of mics, drums and my wide knowledge of different genres and drum sounds, I'm able to tailor the vibe of the drums to be just right for your music.

I will deliver a multi-track, consisting of individual microphone tracks along with any FX printing and percussion overdubs (if appropriate) at 48khz/24bit. I will usually deliver at least 2 takes.
