I’m KJ, a professional session drummer with 20 years of experience, specializing in groove-focused, pocket-driven drumming across rock, pop, country, funk, and soul. I provide high-quality, mix-ready live drum tracks recorded remotely from my home studio. I aim to give you drums that feel great in the mix, enhance your song’s energy, and deliver the professional sound you’re looking for. I record using a Scarlett 18i20 interface with high-quality microphones, including an SE Electronics V Kick on the kick, an SE Electronics V7x on the snare, Slate ML-2s on the toms, and Lewitt 240s as overheads. This setup allows me to provide up to 8 channels of recorded drums, capturing the punch, clarity, and depth needed for a professional mix. My room has natural diffusion, and I use strategic mic placement to get a full, lively drum tone.

I’ve recorded for Michael Land, Arizona Christian University, Central Christian Church, and Mountain View Church and have performed live for over 10 years in bar gigs, resorts, and professional venues. My experience allows me to lock into any song’s feel and deliver the right drum part—a tight, dynamic groove or a driving, energetic performance.
