1980s Special - Your MIDI Tracks on REAL SYNTHESIZERS & DRUM MACHINES for $25
Software synthesizers are useful for ideas or demos, but if you are looking for a truly authentic and rich sound inspired by the 1980s, nothing beats real synthesizers and drum machines. I can take your MIDI tracks and software synth sounds, program your patch into a real synthesizer or drum machine, and send you the delicious audio output. Here's my list of gear:
KEYBOARDS:
Yamaha DX7 (This synth truly defined the sound of the 80s - Digital sound of a lot of 1980s pop )
Oberheim OB8 (THE 8-voice monster synth of Prince, Van Halen, Rush, etc - Analogue sound of the 1970s and 1980s)
Moog Rogue (Fantastic bass synth or lead synth; unbelievably funky)
DRUM MACHINES:
Linn Drum Machine (THE ubiquitous Drum machine of the 1980s)
Oberheim DX Drum Machine (The OTHER drum machine of the 1980s!)
Sequential Circuits Drumtraks (Punchy drum machine- used by Chromeo today still)
EFFECTS:
DBX160XT (Great 1980s compressor)
Yamaha SPX-90 (Defined the sound of 80s rack gear)
I'm starting small, but have a lot of ingredients to get you that sound that software synthesizers or drum machines cannot achieve. You send the MIDI track and the audio output, and I will program your patch into one of the synthesizers or drum machines and send you the clean output of the real machine. Up to 3 revisions on the patch sound, but if I have your original sound, I can likely match it almost perfectly. The price includes 1 track of audio.
These keyboards and drum machines exclusively made all the sounds (except guitar) on the music in the SoundCloud and YouTube links. Check it out.
