Vintage Acoustic Pianos featuring 1970s Yamaha U3 Upright and 1920s Broadwood Baby Grand : for $150

- Acoustic piano service boasting a fully restored vintage Yamaha U3 from the 1970s and a 1920s Broadwood Baby Grand (more of an aged sound but still nice tone - My SoundCloud links feature recordings)

- Warm piano sound produced with Oktava MK12 microphone pairing with choices of omni, cardioid and hypercardioid polar patterns

- Versatile musician with experience in various music genres - can play complex material but this requires more rehearsal time before the live session

My process:

- We work out the piano part via MIDI PRIOR to recording
- I'm not a strong sight reader, which is why I learn pieces via MIDI
- I record live and send you my best take
- You're entitled to 5 revisions

TIMING is HUGELY important in an acoustic piano recording - you can't usually edit live recorded piano; it often comes out weird. Recording an accurate piano track as an overdub, even a simple part, is an art form in and of itself and requires heavy attention to detail. I believe it is worth it because the live recorded sound often adds more character and warmth.

The fundamental purpose of this service is to ensure that the piano part is what you want. I feel 5 revisions are more than reasonable considering we should have it nailed down before I record it live.

Unfortunately, I can no longer offer a 100% guarantee with unlimited revisions as the inevitable ended up happening lol

Additional Terms:

- You are free to use the piano part for whatever you want, however, I retain copyright to my performances to protect my style of playing, including any riffs, hooks, embellishments etc which I may use again for future projects. This applies to original contributions I make to the production of a piano track that aren't already written/composed by the client. The deciphering and crediting of this should be clear in our written conversation via airgigs.com
