Backup vocals & harmonies with the maddy flavour for $500

I’ve been blessed to record backups for Grammy-award winning artists Fantastic Negrito, Quebec’s Tom Waits Bernard Adamus, Oakland psychedelic rockers Whiskerman, San Francisco jamband Tea Leaf Green, and a bazillion other projects including writing and singing French lyrics & harmonies for short films and composers.

I’ve been told I have a unique voice. I don’t think it’s anything spesh, but I’m a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with strong pitch, rhythm and musical ideas, so I just decided to trust what other ppl say when it comes to my voice, and keep learning, expressing, singing, and livin this musiclife that bring me so much joy.

I have a simple home studio setup that works great for me and folks I’ve recorded backups for... Shure Beta 87A or Aston Spirit thru the warmth of Apogee Duet to Logic Pro on a MacPro 5,1. I work pretty quickly but some weeks may need a little lead time to accommodate a busy 1on1 music coaching schedule, finding time to stretch eat and all those peaky bodycare things I have to do now that I’m an old lady (39). I also like to spend some days with songs and let them “speak to me” a little before jumping in and recording my first impulse. If you have references of backup flavours you love or just need something hella simple, I’m truly at your service and promise I won’t get attached toany of my own ideas. Done enough backups & harmonies & bandleading & collabs to know we get the most fun AND best results, when I let go & roll with the flow ?

I have some decent camera gear too & lens choices if you need me to set up a tripod n do video takes for any reason ... let me know (I may charge somethin extra for that, depending on how much ya need!)

Backup & harmony experience includes singing backup parts on 2 albums of Grammy-award winning Fantastic Negrito including his latest LP “Have You Lost Your Mind Yet?” Another recent highlight is writing & singing backup sections and harmonies on 3 songs for the Tom Waits of Quebec Bernard Adamus’ “Ce Qui Nous Reste de Texas.” I’ve also worked with/for Tea Leaf Green, Whiskerman, Furia, Panic is Perfect, composer Dan Cantrell, composer Philippe Tasquin, artists including Diana Gameros andKendra McKinley in a live setting, and wrote and arranged vocals for my trio “Madeline Tasquin & Sarabande” for two years and toured with those lasses to my BC Canada homeland & here in California in 2017&2018. 2019 I took a hiatus and now I’m back in action!
