Re-Amping guitars and Basses for $50
Since the start of COVID-19 and lockdown has occurred, musicians are wanting and needing to record themselves in order to keep their fans entertained with new music.
The difficulty with this is that you have to:
a: Learn to to set-up your studio correctly.
b: Understand and maintain correct Gain staging.
c: Concentrate on what's being recorded in terms of levels etc, which is disruptive to the creative flow.
d: not having access to great sounding amps
What does $50 buy me?
This will get you 4 tracks of Re-Amping and if there are more, then this will need to be negotiated based on your requirements.
What Amps do you use?
Amps wise I have two custom built amps, one is a very rare Cornell JourneyMan 35w all valve head with 2 x 12 cab loaded with Celestion Greenback and Vintage 30, giving this amp a great tone that is a kin to Vox and Matchless.
The other is an 18w valve amp based on the classic Fenders, giving that very clean Americana sound.
I do use a Two Note Torpedo Captor 8, that allows me to capture the head sound and then choose different cab settings through the IR settings, giving me a fantastic palette of tonal colours.
I have some unique and rare pedals including a Matchless Dirtbox as well as early Fulltone pedals too.
In addition I run a Kemper with the best profiles by Michael Britt and Tone Junkie. These range from the cleanest of Fenders, to the raunchiest classic Marshalls, through to the searing lead tones of Mesa's and other assortment of Boutique amps, including the holy grail (D-Amp).
In order to access this service, you need to send high quality, clean DI sounds that have recorded without ANY clipping. That way, the Re-Amping will be have the greatest chances of sounding fantastic.
If you need to record your guitars to a project, then please see my Remote Recording offering (4 hours) where I can track your guitars and then Re-Amp them in post-production.
If this is of interest, the drop me a line and get in contact to discuss your needs.
