Need professional guitar tracks for your song? Look no further! My name is Ethan Opdahl and I have extensive experience playing rock, metal, prog, fusion, pop, and a little bit of funk. I have been recording guitar for ten years and have the perfect ear for getting a tone that will sit beautifully in a mix. If there are no written guitar parts for your song I am a great writer and I will work with you until you are completely satisfied! My service will include the recording (and writing, if necessary) of any guitar parts including textures, rhythm (double/quad tracking as requested), harmonies, and solos.
I have recorded guitar for Grammy winning producer Kamau Kenyatta (Gregory Porter's producer), singer songwriter Austin Gatus, prog metal band Chronemics, and countless prog/fusion tracks that I've written, recorded, mixed and mastered. I have taken college courses in audio production and I'm currently studying Ethnomusicology at UCLA with an emphasis in composition and performance and a minor in music industry.
I play an Ernie Ball Music Man Jp6 through a Mesa Boogie Mark V combo with a C90 speaker. I also have a Mesa vertical 2x12 cab with v30's that I can mic up at the same time. I have a Strymon Ola chorus that I can run in stereo for cleans as well as a Way Huge Green Rhino for overdrive and boosting. I can run a variety of stereo delays and reverbs as well. I use an Audix i5 mic, Roland Octa Capture interface, and Sonar Platinum to record. I can offer tracks in 16/24bit and 44.1/99.6/192 sample rates. I prefer to work with wav files. We should be able to make something great within 10 revisions, but I will keep recording until you are satisfied.
