Rockabilly, Surf, etc... Twangy Guitar. for $75
I'm a Rockabilly solo artist with my own home studio. I record all of my own records here so I thought I'd offer some remote sessions for the styles I specialize in: Rockabilly, Surf, Spaghetti Western, 40's/50's Country "Takeoff" Lead, etc... I'm also quite proficient with Psychobilly and Punk Rock. I can provide a rhythm or a lead track or one of each. My biggest playing influences are Brian Setzer, Grady Martin, Leon Rhodes, Cliff Gallup, and Zeke Turner. If you need anything from a ripping Rockabilly solo to some chop rhythm and lead for a Hank Williams Sr. style tune, or some Twangy reverb drenched Surf, or even some Tic-Tac Baritone, I can do that and the tone will be right!
I have the correct gear for these genres including:
Gretsch 6120 Setzer Hot Rod with TV Jones Setzer pickups
Pine body Telecaster with vintage style Alnico III pickups
Fender Jazzmaster with Pure Vintage 65 pickups
Gretsch Jet with TV Jones T90 pickups
Gretsch Jet Baritone guitar
Custom Blonde Bassman clone with Celestion Vintage 30
Vox AC15 with Alnico Blue
Quilter Tone Block 202 with various 12" and 15" speaker cabinets
Nocturn Brain Pedals. The best pedals for these styles. Hands down. Including:
Mystery Brain BS-301 Tape Echo
Detroit Casket Fluid Drive
Ubangi Stomp
El Pescadoro Hot Preamp and Chess Records style reverb. (This one gets that old wooly Gibson EH-185 sound!)
There's also a Strymon Flint, EH Oceans 11 and a Wampler Paisley Drive on my board.
Shure SM57, SM7, and Rode NT-1A mics
SSL 2+ Interface into Studio One or Harrison Mixbus 32c.
I can send you raw tracks or add some post processing with my suite of Brainworks/Plugin Alliance plug-ins.
I track in a small but treated room that tracks guitars really well. I can also track in two other rooms depending on what tone the song needs.
