I work from my treated home studio with a selection of high end mics, preamps, compressors, interface , converters, instruments, and effects. Monitoring via industry-standard NS10s, Auratones, and full-range Focal speakers.

I cut my teeth as a songwriter in high school band competitions and the local halls and acoustic venues of Melbourne as a teenager., as well as playing bass and guitar in various bands. While my main instrument is bass, I'm reasonable on drums and conversant on keys, and expert rhythm guitar player, hence my leaning to songwriting (not really a shredder haha!). I've built up my personal studio over the last 5 years to develop my mixing and production skills, for myself and the artists I'm friends with in the area, and have recently opened up my studio publicly. I pay a great deal of attention to arrangement and lyrics - a good melody with a good vocal will always outdo a polished production lacking depth.

I excelled at English and literature studies in High School, actually skipping a year ahead to complete my schooling early. I went on to further study thosee areas at University, and studied literature, poetry, politics and legal studies,. These studies, as well as being an avid reader have given me a large, effective vocabulary and a great understanding and feel for timing, cadence, phrasing and emotional language. I believe it is my communication skills that make me most helpful in assisting people to articulate their emotions through their lyrics.

My musicality has seen consistent development for over 20 years of playing many different genres and instruments. From my high school days of playing grunge, punk, funk, rock and metal music in bands, and roots and folk acoustic music in the singer songwriter style, to rap/hip-hop, to live looping of multiple instruments. In the last 6 years I've delved into production of electro-house, vocal jazz, chill house, rockabilly, pop-rock, and indie-pop.

I have a great love for all music and the songwriting process, and thoroughly enjoy helping my friends and fellow artists realise their musical visions.
