I have a great deal of Studio and Sound / Physics Acoustics equipment developing experience such as in recording, producing, mixing, mastering, modeling and editing both indoors and in the field. At the studio, I have performed multiple band recording/mixing/mastering and I also was in charge for the microphones positions and the whole setup for the sound caption / recording. I am currently using SSL and NEVE mixers, I am really comfortable with valve systems, every kind of DAW (specially Logic Pro 9 and Pro Tools, Sound Forge, Cubase, Nuendo, Ableton live) and visual programming language for media like MaxMSP, Chuck and Wwise. At Laboratory / Physics Acoustics developing field studies, I am remastering Nina Simone old records to proof that nowadays the final digital cd re-master is full of compression which is worse than the music that we use to have back in the 70s/80s. I have developed a canine hearing based sound frequency system for hearing aids and passive amplifiers which are directly related with speech and sound recognition and I am also developing an equipment similar to leap motion but based on the theremin electronic musical instrument which in this case will able every person to play a virtual instrument, control a DAW or simply interact with a pc / mac without the hustle of using a mouse or keyboard which a disabled / armless person like myself will find in it a remarkable asset.
I am the head Sound Engineer at 100LOOPS online Studio where I've recorded, mixed and mastered a great number of albums for Universal Records and Sony BMG. Per example I’ve worked for Amy Wyke Band as Sound Engineer / Producer (recording, mixing, mastermind and producing two singles) and the band ended up signing contracts with Gibson guitars and Universal records.
During 6 months I was the Head Sound Designer for Axtion Games Company and during my time in Cambridge not only I have been in the team that developed the Sound Design for the game ‘little big planet’ and some foley for the game ‘call of duty’ (this game was recorded at Abbey Road Studios) but I had also worked through uni, for BBC as Sound Designer for comercial spots like Smirnoff Ice. I kept working on my sound frequency filter research which I already have prototypes that can corroborate my research that was chosen by Cambridge Microsoft as one of the best final year Thesis. I also have been involved as Speech Scientist Junior for Apple’s Dragon software. I am seeking to complement this experience with a Sound Designer / Sound Engineer position in order to acquire the background necessary for a future career in developing revolutionary sound equipment or software.
