Andrea Marras graduated in violin at the Conservatory “A.Boito” in Parma in 2004, under the supervision of M°G.Carpi.
He carried on the orchestral career, performing in several theatres in Italy and Europe, such as Teatro Regio in Parma, Teatro Lirico in Cagliari and Teatro Real in Madrid.
Since 2009 is first violin of Tango Spleen, ensemble specialized in Argentine Tango, with an intense concert activity including tours in South Korea, Norway, France, Germany, Switzerland, Ukraine, Russia and United States (in Santa Monica together with the famous tenor Marcelo Alvarez), besides outstanding locations in Italy such as Casa del Jazz and Villa Pamphili in Rome, and in Piazza del Popolo during the event held in honour of Pope Francesco I in occasion with the Roman Year 2013; the Latinoamericando Festival in Milan and the principal milongas in Italy, from Maison Musique in Turin to Palazzina Liberty in Milan.
With Tango Spleen he recorded four albums: Mariano Speranza - Tango Spleen (2010); Tipico (2012); Canto Para Seguir (2015), that contain his compositions “Guerra” and “Nostalgias de Mar”; Contatto (2018), that contain the original composition "Azul y Verde"
Again with Tango Spleen the collaboration with the italian singer Bernardo Lanzetti for the Vox40 project, resulting in the publishing of the live CD and DVD Acqua Fragile per Orchestra, containing also the composition Acqua Tango Medley where he appears as co-author.
He collaborated with the american jazz performer Clifford Brown III for the Cuncourse in Atmosphere project, resulting in the album Revolution Café.
Besides the instrumental activity, he developed his skills as a composer, scoring in 2018 two chapters of the film "einsam, zweisam, geimensam", directed by Lisa Ossowsky, Julia Rabe and Yann Labry for the youg german home 5 o'clock creativity, and partecipating at the 52th Hof Film Festival.
In 2019 his first album as a composer, Dream, wich contain his best composition of the last five years.
In the past years he gained visibility in several competitions with compositions and arrangements, such as:
-The original work Moments, included in the Surface Music Kit by Microsoft
-Three awarded tunes for the Nokia Tune 2013 with the name Lubiomatic
-Mention of Honor for the remix of the song Stay by Nesta Rae, version included in the Levitate album
-Mention of Honor for the remix of the song Everything's gonna be all right by Barry Manilow, in collaboration with the italian artist Outbreak
