I've never been a "shredder." I pride myself on playing to the song (usually that means playing to the singer—not playing over lyrical phrases or other instruments' important melodies). The biggest compliment I receive on my playing is that I am "musical." I may not be the next 12-year-old YouTube sensation, but I firmly believe I have the ear and the ability to tie your song together!
