Born in a small French town but destined to open up to the world, Chris Canon has turned his devotion to music into a booming career. With his angelic high notes and his own energy, he navigates between POP and R&B music. A sensitive but nonetheless confident singer-songwriter, the urban and electro sounds of his music reflect the artist's unique essence.


Started the singing at the age of 5, inspired by the melodies of artists such as Usher, Mariah Carey and Sam Cooke, he began writing his first autobiographical lyrics at around 16. His need for self-expression led him to leave his hometown and parents at 17 to attend the Ecole des Musiques Actuelles (ATLA) in Paris. Nurturing his passion for performing, he made his debut on stage, his determination led him to be noticed by an artistic agent.


Chris Canon, accompanied by his manager, worked for two years on his first studio album. This experience enabled him to surround himself with music professionals and establish himself as an artist.

Wishing to emancipate himself further, he parted ways with his manager and decided to release “U LOOK DAMN GOOD” as an independent artist, produced by Slovakian composer GIMI PRODUCTIONS. This track was followed by the more melancholy single “BLUE”, hailed by radio station URBAN HIT, who decided to play it on their airwaves.
A culmination? Certainly not: a beginning !


One of Chris Canon's most memorable moments in his life was when he lost his voice. After many months of introspection and rehabilitation, he regained his voice. But the deeply scarred artist will never be the same again, and this resilient experience will have an indelible influence on his music.

Over the years, Chris Canon lends his pen and writes songs for other artists, but never forgets his personal projects. In 2020, he unveiled “WATERFALLS”, an hymn to the present moment, in collaboration with DJ SEAGMA. Released via German label JENDEX RECORDS, the track marks the artist's first label signing. Invited to appear on the GASPASHOW set, the two artists deliver an energetic performance to FUTURADIOS radio listeners.

“I finally felt recognized ! To be invited on a real radio station, be expected, be listened for my art, my lyrics, I spent sleepless nights following this incredible experience I was so excited, I saw my childhood dream come true.”

This collaboration has over 100,000 streams on streaming platforms to date.

The duo repeated the experience with the track “TOO CLOSE TO YOU” in early 2023, this time signed to Argentin label DEEP ARGENTINA. Played on several radio stations, the track reaches around 20,000 listens online.

Following an interview with PEPSUPMUSIC radio, Chris Canon unveils a remarkable cover of Sam Smith's “WRITING'S ON THE WALL” in late 2023. Accompanied by a video directed by Rayane ECHOUAFNI, the track earned him several articles in international magazines.


“I don't think I've ever received so much love on the social networks as thanks to this Sam Smith cover, I've been hiding for a long time, and working on this track with my vocal coach has been very liberating. Receiving such poignant and inspirational words and comments on IG was a real trigger for me. Since this release I've become aware of the power of music, and I owe it to myself to keep going just for all those people who support my art !”



For the artist, 2024 marks a return to his urban roots. Guest on the official remix of the track “FOR A MINUTE” by Kenyan rapper JASPER, this track advocating self-work and tenacity reveals a more spiritual side of the singer. Included in Spotify Kenya's editorial playlist, this track consolidates Chris Canon's legitimacy in the R&B sphere.
At the end of July, the two artists enhance their respective catalogs with the release of the track “UNUSUAL”, distributed on all streaming platforms via the Brazilian label GUIA RECORDS ; a real recognition for this duo !

After taking part in the WESTFIELD EN SCENE talent contest and placing 4th, Chris Canon, always on the lookout for new challenges, is currently working on a personal project close to his heart. Having been approached in recent years by DJs and composers with pre-defined projects, it's now time for the artist to present sounds that are all his own, and to embark on a phase of introspection in search of melodies that will surprise and inspire his audience.
