Christian Welde is a Norwegian artist, keyboardist, and producer known for his evocative and cinematic music, blending genres such as ambient, jazz, and electronic. Born in 1969 in Kopervik, Karmøy Municipality, Norway, his passion for sound began early, leading him to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he majored in Music Synthesis in 1994.

In 1998, Welde released his debut album, *Fairytales*, marking the start of his prolific career. Over the years, he has produced several albums, including *Skywatching* (2009), *Storytime* (2010), *Illuminate* (2015), and *When Echoes Fade* (2019). His music often features collaborations with various artists; notably, Pink Floyd backing singer Durga McBroom lent her vocals to two tracks on *Illuminate*. This collaboration garnered attention when Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason shared the news, thrilling Welde, a longtime fan of the band.

Beyond album productions, Welde has composed music for promotional films, theater, and independent short films, showcasing his versatility as a composer and sound designer. His work includes projects for Norwegian furniture company Ekornes and the indie short film *RUN*.

In addition to his own artistic endeavors, Welde has contributed as a keyboard player and arranger for the Norwegian rock band Temet Nosce, known for their music video filmed on Norway’s iconic natural landmark, The Pulpit Rock (Preikestolen).
