John Hagedorn is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter originating from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. John started his music career learning closely from his mother, a concert pianist. John started playing the viola in elementary school and very quickly became proficient due to his fascination with the instrument, and his strong work ethic for practice. In the 6th grade, he was the youngest musician to make the El Paso Symphony Orchestra. In high school, John started playing the guitar, and instantly fell in love with acoustic fingerstyle. Guitar started his knack for songwriting, and he quickly started building a repertoire of original material. In 2018 John was accepted into the UWM composition and technology program, and spent two semesters studying music theory as well as audio engineering. Hungry for more, John decided that MATC was a better fit for learning more practical skills, and began studying under greats such as Steve Peplin, Keshena Armon, and even the legendary Mike Neumeyer. During his tenure at MATC, John became acquainted with a strong group of musicians that would eventually form the hit group, Not Bad; Where John would prove to be a key factor in the band's success due to his tenacity, songwriting skills, and networking skills. John is also being mentored by a great Milwaukee musician and Songwriter, Chris Crain. Under Chris, John is planning to tour the country as a guitarist in his band.
