Pianist, composer, producer and recording engineer Jon Notar began studying music at age 10. After discovering a love for jazz music he went on to study at New School University in New York City with Reggie Workman, Crag Taborn, Gerard D'Angelo, Marc Copeland, and others. He also performed in the Winard Harper sextet at jazz clubs and music festivals around the country for 6 years.

Shifting his focus to the recording studio, Jon became head engineer, producer and manager at New York-based Mercy Sound Recording Studios. During that time he worked with hundreds of artists including Blondie, CeeLo Green, Kid Cudi, Nicholas Payton, and Jazmin Sullivan.

Today Jon is a full time composer working in tv advertising. His diverse musical background and performance experience lends a versatile voice to his compositions, which have been featured by major brands including Toyota, Mass Mutual, Macy's, Fisher Price and Jamaica Tourism. He currently resides in Brooklyn NY.
