An avid music lover, Kara learned how to sing AND use a microphone at two years old on Grandma’s 8-track karaoke machine. She grew up with a passion for the arts and performing. A trained classical singer, Kara would much rather sing an 80’s power ballad or a show tune.
She currently resides in Santa Monica where she owns and operates Kara Karaoke Entertainment. When Kara isn’t hosting karaoke for private parties and events she can be found recording voice overs and vocals in her home studio. All of her work is recorded and produced by her husband, David Bertok - a professional TV and Film composer and graduate of USC’s Film Scoring Program.
Kara is also an active member of Angel City Chorale in West Los Angeles.
