Picking up his first bass at the age of five, Mike discovered music as an outlet while growing up in Buffalo, NY. After finishing high school, Mike applied and was accepted to the Berklee College of Music in 2007, completing his Bachelor’s in Electric Bass Performance. Upon completion, and a short move back home, Mike moved to Nashville in January 2012, and hasn’t looked back. He has been performing with the country duo Haley and Michaels for the past two years, opening for country artists Chris Young, Parmalee, and Craig Campbell, along with performing at such festivals as the Windy City Lake Shake, Faster Horses Festival, Watershed Festival, and on the Today Show with Kathie Lee and Hoda. Mike has also kept busy with male artist Justin Adams, opening for such artists as Trace Adkins, Craig Morgan, Joe Nichols, and Chase Bryant, as well as performing in town, and being active in the session scene.
