From a backup dancer to a solo artist. From a little girl inspired by MJ, Britney, Queen and Madonna to a rock singer...
Nia started as a dancer back in 2010's, as a dance team member and backup dancer for some local singers in St. Petersburg.
Later on she was hired as a choreographer for an indie staging of the Jesus Christ Superstar musical where she also tried herself at choir vocal parts, following her dream of becoming a singer. Sadly, the show was never released and both Nia and directors went separate ways.
After graduating from the University of Culture and Arts Nia started to work at the promotion company as a backstage manager on Northern European tours of artists such as Sarah Brightman, Scorpions, Alice Cooper, Andrea Bocelli, Michael Monroe, etc.
Still a "nearby-music-and-stage" life wasn't enough. Thus, since 2020 she and her team have been performing live Lady Gaga covers with original Nia's choreo at the club stage once local Gaga's fans had discovered her. During one of the gigs she was noticed by a rock band Red God, which invited her as vocalist and English lyrics' author.
Finally in 2022 solo project NIA LEXO was born! Nia mixed all her musical and visual experience, swinging between synthpop, rock, city pop, alternative, etc. It's not easy to be an indie musician, but thanks to additional skills of choreography, staging and performing the journey became exciting!
