As a much sought-after recording artist, Peter is regularly asked to record solo cello for radio, film, and television. As a solo cellist he has recorded for BBC Radio 3, and for several BBC1 documentaries. He has also recorded solo cello on feature films at the famous Abbey Road studios. As a solo artist he has worked with leading film composers such as Steven Price on his BAFTA award winning musical score for The Hunt, and he has ongoing professional relationships with many talented independent film and television composers.
As a freelance cellist, Peter has played with many top classical orchestras and opera companies in Britain and abroad. Most recently, he was a full-time musician with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra(2016-17). He has also performed chamber music with Pavlo Beznosiuk (leader of the Academy of Ancient Music), Wang Xiaoming (of the Stradivari quartet), and with pianist Chian- Ying Chan (of the Fournier Piano Trio).
Peter has also worked as a musician in the theatre and performed many times as cellist with the Royal Shakespeare Company at Stratford-Upon-Avon. He has held the cello chair on productions of Twelfth Night(2018), Hecuba(2015), The White Devil(2014), and The Shoemaker’s Holiday(2014). He has also performed at the West Yorkshire Playhouse (Peter Pan) using both an acoustic cello as well as a six-stringed electric cello.
Working for many years with talented singer/songwriter John Garrison as a member of the British Indie band Budapest, Peter toured Spain extensively, playing live on National radio and television, and performing shows to sell-out audiences.
