Robbie Gennet is an multi-instrumentalist musician, singer/songwriter, educator, author and journalist from Los Angeles, CA. He's recorded and released his own music and toured worldwide with acts as diverse as Lisa Marie Presley (keys/vocals), Nick Lachey (acoustic guitar/vocals), Fuel (bass) and Everclear (guitar/keys/vocals). An award-winning piano player, Robbie is known to specialize in boogie boogie and blues piano, as well as vintage keyboards, having played Rhodes, Minimoog, Wurlitzer and Clavinet extensively both onstage and in studio. Robbie has published his own music instruction book/DVD The Key of One (Alfred Publishing) to give students a notation-free context to music. Robbie has also written numerous music books and hosted a piano DVD for publisher Hal Leonard and has written for major music magazines including Guitar Player, Bass Player and Keyboard Magazine, at which he is a long time senior contributor, video host and columnist. He’s recently released a new album of his own orchestrated rock music entitled “Gleams” and released an award-winning video for the single “The Camera’s On” that is showing at film festivals around the world. His previous award-winning music video for the single “Come Down” was also shown at film festivals worldwide. His most recent self-produced full-length album "Fadeaway" showcases his bass playing as well as his songwriting and piano skills.
