Efrain 'Silverback' Matias has a foundation working in the audio infrastructure for over a decade. He has had the opportunity to and has successfully executed instruction for production software, Ableton and Pro Tools, in multiple entities both current and at Noize Factory Studios in San Diego. Silverback was instrumental in constructing courses, course material, and instruction that totaled over 5000 hours of instruction in Southern California.
One institution in particular that he has been passionate about is Recording Radio and Film Connection in Los Angeles. He was first interested in studying at that institution when he saw it endorsed on Pensado's Place. Since completing his certification course, in Advanced Audio Engineering, he has been cited as one of their success stories more than once, to include their "Best of 2018" segment featured below.
This past year Silverback was selected to revise, give feedback, and ultimately sign as an approver on their newest associates program. As a veteran himself, this is an accolade that he is extremely proud of because it helps veterans use their GI Bill funding to pursue their passion and education in music, instead of having to pay out of pocket.
Silverback excelled extremely at both RRFC and Noize Factory Studios. After Noize Factory Studios announced their plans to relocate, Silverback Audio carried on their workload and RRFC instructional courses that were passed down to him. He continues to fully operate and hold a steady flow of clients, students, and effective relationships within studios around San Diego.
