Stewart 'Strat' Carter is a Barbadian Hip Hop artist and music producer who has been making music since 1997. As a producer from the Caribbean, it may be odd to think that Hip Hop is his main genre. However, Hip Hop was, after all, created originally by Caribbean people and the influences of the Caribbean are baked into the sound and culture. Strat is also prolific at producing Dancehall, RnB and Pop.

Born into a family of singers and musicians, music and creativity lives in him. He has been described as a gifted Hip Hop and R&B producer in his home country of Barbados and his beats have gained some international exposure. He has been nominated for 2 Barbados Music Awards and won once.

Currently, Strat is also the owner of a small royalty free sample label called Strategic Audio and is passionate about Boom Bap Hip Hop, Dancehall and Lo-fi. In addition to royalty free melody loops, Strategic Audio provides MIDI loops, drum loops, drum kits and VST preset banks.
