THE LIKWIDLIGHT EXP was raised up under some of New Orleans most gifted musicians. He’s study guitar with world renowned musician Carl Leblanc (formerly of Sun Ra) and studied music theory and jazz with gifted trumpet player Clive Curr Jr.
He is an accomplished multi instrumentalist as well as producer who’s art is freshly innovative but will remind you of all the greats in music. LIKWID has been featured on SPOTIFY playlist iFANm Singers, Vocals & Vibes as well as artist I found on TikTok by Vizunari. THE LIKWIDLIGHT EXP is also a self contained multi media entity who could be seen around New Orleans cafe’s and bars editing music video and photography.
Outside of his own releases. THE LIKWIDLIGHT EXP has worked in the studio with rock producer Gordon Raphael of THE STROKES fame as well as produced for indie artists IKIL ORIION and GREG BANKS.
LIKWID says of his main influences Prince, Andy Warhol and Miles Davis that “they lived life fearlessly and left this world without regrets”.” I exist to express that same fearlessness in everything I do”. His album SEX DROIDS released in 2017 is a testament to just that. An opus of pop rock soul and R&B that will touch the deepest places in your soul.
