Tommaso Perazzo, born on May 16, 1996 in Varese (Italy), is a pianist and Hammond Organ player.
He lived for four years in the Netherlands, studying jazz piano at the Conservatory of Amsterdam; after getting his Bachelor diploma in June 2019 he won a scholarship for the Manhattan School of Music in New York City, where he is currently living.
During the 4 years of experience in NL he participated in many musical workshops, accompanying among others Peter Berstein, Terell Stafford, Ira Coleman. He also had the opportunity to participate in several competitions: in Spring 2018 he won with his trio the second prize of the competition "Keep en Eye International Jazz Award "and the first as Best Soloist.
In June 2018 he also participated in the prestigious competition "Premio Internazionale Massimo Urbani” in Camerino (Italy), winning the first prize;
thanks to that award he released his debut album, "What's Coming Next?", recorded with his trio in Amsterdam.
More recently, in February 2020 Tommaso was selected for the auditions at the "Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz" in Los Angeles, where he had the opportunity to perform in front of a jury composed by Herbie Hancock, Ambrose Akinkmusire and Herb Albert among the others.
