Toby Bender is a drummer, percussionist, singer, producer, educator, and clinician from Melbourne, Australia.

Toby has traveled around the world and has been a highly regarded professional musician for over a decade. He studied classical and orchestral percussion at an early age and has been focussing his time on contemporary music, drums, and percussion for the last two decades.

Starting at age 15, Toby has been performing regularly and has featured in many jazz, rock, folk and Latin groups. As his career progressed he was involved with stage shows, doing pit work with many professional dance productions and musicals, and continues to be a regular figure at music & arts festivals, and on studio recordings.

He has performed, and taught drums and percussion throughout Australasia, North America, South America (performing in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil during the 2016 Olympic Games) and throughout the Caribbean, and has studied in Brazil, Cuba & the USA.

Toby records his drums and percussion from his Melbourne studio, Royal Studios, using a large range of high-quality microphones, pre-amps and effects units.
