Hi, my name is Tom Mueller. I am currently based in Vienna, Austria. My instrumental expertise encompasses all saxophones—tenor, alto, soprano, and baritone. I write and record horn sections.

I hold a distinguished academic record with degrees in concert Saxophone Jazz from the University of Music in Graz and Pop Saxophone from the University of Music in Vienna. I am also a proud alumnus of the Vienna Conservatory, having graduated with distinction.

With a professional tenure extending over 35 years as a saxophonist, I have had the privilege of working alongside notable names in the European and international jazz, blues, and pop scenes. My notable collaborations include artists such as Andy Lee Lang, Norbert Schneider, Dana Gillespie, Josh Smith, BB and The Blues Shacks, Kai Strauss, and many others. I have led my projects, including "Sax First Talk Later," and have extensive experience performing as a sideman in various venues around Europe and on international cruise lines.

My contributions to music have been recognized through several prestigious awards. These include the Amadeus Award in 2016 with Norbert Schneider, for which I was both an arranger and saxophonist, and the German Blues Award for Best Blues Album with BB and the Blues Shacks.

I am deeply passionate about the entire creative process, from conceptualization to the production of the final song. My technical setup is equipped with advanced recording gear, including Logic Pro or Ableton Live for music production, and high-quality microphones like the UAD Sphere DLX and AKG Solid Tube.

In my studio workflow, I specialize in recording saxophone solos or horn sections tailored to client-specific backing tracks, with a resolution set in consultation with the client. I provide up to three revisions to ensure client satisfaction, with final tracks delivered via WeTransfer or a client-preferred service.
