Hey - I’m A. Nathan Scott. I’m a professional musician, producer, and filmmaker based in New York City.

As a freelance musician, I’ve had the honor of working with Grammy-award-winning and internationally-renown artists, including members of the Allman Brothers, the Black Crowes, Blues Traveler, Thievery Corporation, Lettuce, Blood Sweat and Tears, The Decembrists, and many others.

I also work extensively in the studio as a producer, composer and engineer, including producing commercial content for national brands such as FOX, Spencer’s Gifts and Pickup Music, as well as working on indie video games, podcasts, radio and TV advertisements, and countless other projects.

I’ve also worked as an educator and content creator, having designed and presented over 40 full-length online courses on bass performance, music theory, and studio production for music education powerhouse TrueFire Studios. My travel docuseries, Nomadic Bard, is a small but steadily growing YouTube channel with 30 episodes (and counting!) covering locations in over a dozen countries all across the globe.

After trying drums, guitar and keyboards all before age 10, I fell in love with the bass guitar at 11. My father, longtime Colorado musician and 6-time Grammy-nominated producer/songwriter Joe Scott (Wind Machine, Acoustic Eidolon) fostered a great adoration for music in me, which inevitably became a full-time career.
